Zombie Survival Machine

Taking a stock Veloster, Hyundai got some help from the team at Galpin Auto Sports to help build out a vehicle that is truly ready for the end of the world. The vehicle has been equipped with everything from a roof mounted machine gun to a bumper with dual chainsaws for mowing down the undead. Of course there is also plenty of armour found throughout the vehicle as well including the thick metal plating and window bars to keep the walkers out. Unfortunately we don’t think this thing will ever hit the production line, but that doesn’t make it any less awesome.

Fallout nuclear apocalypse Motorcycle

Chris – who’s in high school, by the way – got help from his friends and teachers in building the Fallout 3 bike. The steel was cut and welded locally, while they got the engine from scrap. Since this post-apocalyptic vehicle, Chris figured there was no need for a transmission, suspension, or even a front brake.

Custom Honda CB1100

Fusing technical raw elements with clean lines, Bez stripped the engine and exhaust block to only leave the bare essentials. The frame and other main components are finished in matte black and lacquered, while the whole tank and saddle is simply one block of aluminum. The sparse design gets topped off with a leather saddle that crosses over to the rear light, contrasting nicely with the matte black and aluminum motif. By industrial designer Dimitri Bez.

Yard Built XV950 ‘Playa del Rey’

Matt Black Custom Designs have been busy building their first ever Yard Built project. The result is a true showstopper, paying tribute to the board track racers of 100 years ago. An impressive mix of custom, and bolt on parts are beautifully crafted together to become the Yard Built XV950.
This combination of new and old mixed together is something we saw in the work of Matt Black’s previous builds, commented Yamaha Motor Europe Product Manager, Shun Miyazawa. “As a result we knew they were the right people to take on the latest XV950 Yard Built project and the result is amazing. They’ve kept all the fun of the standard bike, but shown you can use it as a base to easily build something iconic with a perfect blend of vintage and modern without compromising the ride.”

Transmission at Art & Moto 2015

185 Hp, 1650cc Motus MV4 Bike

The Bienville Legacy features a 1650cc Motus MV4 engine, which in its natural form is good for 185 horse power. But Nesbitt’s goes all mad scientist on us and adds a Rotrex centrifugal supercharger to take the hp to more than 300. The Legacy also has uses a totally unique blade suspension, which uses a single carbon fiber leaf spring from the front to the back of the bike. Factor in carbon fiber wheels and a four gallon fuel tank, and you can see how the total weight checks in at around 400 lbs. Commissioned by the American Design and Master-Craft Initiative, the Legacy will only see a few riders on its hand-crafted saddles; besides the roughly $250,000 asking price.

Silky Beauty on Boxer Moto

Daryl Dixon’s Motorcycle / The Walking Dead

Daryl Dixon (played by Norman Reeedus) is a huge motorcycle enthusiast, both in the show and real life. If you’ve been keeping up with the show (trying to not to reveal any spoilers here), you’re well aware that he was just gifted a motorcycle from his new found friends of Alexandria. Those of you paying attention may have noticed that the bike is a beautifully built 1992 Honda CB750 Nighthawk, and that was no accident. Mr. Reedus contacted Classified Moto for the build, with the goal to create a post-apocalyptic ride that’s worthy of a real gear head. The finished product is just that, using parts from Kenda, Yamaha, and Progressive Suspension along with stock parts from Honda. Of course what would a bike built for Daryl be without custom crossbow mounts?

Wasteland Demolisher

Pirelli x Ducati SC-Rubmble

The fine folks at Ducati and Pirelli collaborated with Vibrazioni Art Design to customize this drastically altered Scrambler motorcycle. The vehicle sees a shortened stock chassis, aluminum windshield complete with an added smoke headlight housing a circular LED light (a nod to the classic Scrambler series), and original lids removed for monocoque made of sheets recovered from industrial bins – all of which was not only hammered, but shaped completely by hand as well. To give the bike its smooth finish, the shell was coated in a transparent polyurethane gloss. There’s custom art found on the sides of the bike’s tank by Vibrazioni, designed to replicate the impressions left by the Pirelli MT 60 RS tires found on both the front and rear wheels.

Spyderco Bug Knife

The smallest knife in the brand’s product lineup, this thing is a fully functional slip-joint folding knife that you’ll hardly even notice is in your pocket. Just how small is it you ask? Measuring in at 1.625 inches when closed, it’s roughly the size of a paper clip. When fully opened, it measures 2.875 inches with a 1.3-inch 3Cr13 steel blade. It comes complete with with a lanyard hole on the bottom end of the handle. To Purchase

Honda CX500 Cafe Racer

For a bike that was known as the “plastic maggot,” this custom CX500 has certainly transformed into quite a majestic butterfly. Dirk Oehlerking with Kingston Custom is the man behind this amazing metamorphosis, taking a middleweight motorcycle from the late 70s.
The bike’s transverse V-twin engine received a sheen of thermo-sensitive coating, while the exhaust manifold is wrapped with thermal tape. That comfy bench seat is handmade, along with the battery box, fenders, foot brake lever, and the pint-sized fairing on top. There’s a modified Harley exhaust, footrests from an XT 600 Yamaha, stub handlebars via Fehling, a Bates headlight with a Harley cap, and tires by Avon.
